NOTE....

Please have a few years of some type medical experience of actually done CPR before on a real person before you ever try and teach a course. You will be held accountable by AHA as an Instructor if you teach in error. 

 

 

  • Must be Aligned with Eagle Life Saving's AHA Training Center to take this course.
  • Provide Proof (Copies - Needed) of the Non-Expired American Heart Association - BLS & Heartsaver Provider CPR eCard & the BLS Instructor CPR eCard.
  • Copy of your Drivers Licenses.         
  • A BLS Instructor has the ability to teach any American Heart Association BLS Provider Initial / Renewal Course as well as the Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED courses for non-medical people.
  • 2 - 3 hours to complete the BLS Instructor Renewal course.

 

Process in becoming an AHA BLS Instructor includes:

  • "FIRST"...Inform Eagle Life Saving you're interested in becoming a new BLS Instructor and discuss a date you want to do the course.

1. Copy of your Drivers License. 

2. Have a current BLS provider card in the discipline you wish to teach.

3. Complete the American Heart Association’s BLS Instructor Update & Product Course.

4. Successfully complete an instructor course in the discipline you wish to teach.

5. Be monitored by an ELS Training Center Faculty (TCF) member while teaching your first class. This will usually be scheduled on the same day after your instructor course.

6. All classes start @ 9:00am. 

                                                                                              

  • After registration & payment of the course, All information in becoming a BLS Instructor will be sent to you in a Confirmation Email at one time.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT

  • Choose a date in the future to complete the BLS Instructor Course with ELS.
  • Contact ELS for the date you have chosen so a class date can be created.
  • You will then Click on (Continue with Registration below) & pay for your course.
  • Please check your email and (SPAM BOX) after registration for confirmation of your course including very important information needed to complete this course.

You are required to have the current BLS Instructors Manual and ALL teaching materials including All the required AHA specific equipment per AHA Guidelines for this course on hand or show proof of purchase with a paid receipt & be prepared to be monitored & able teach a BLS Course at Eagle Life Saving Training Site.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all their courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to these companies per their Program Administration Manual.

* Only those who have paid for a course are allowed to sit in a class. 

* All AHA CPR eCards will be distributed (Immediately) after successfully completing all that is required and passing the course you choose in its entirety on the same day the course is taken unless an unforeseen circumstance occurs.

* All AHA certifications are in eCard form.
