The video lessons cover multiple medical subjects, and each lesson includes questions to engage the student. * Bring your HeartCode BLS Part 1 Online Completion certificate. (Highly Recommended) We have created PALS MP4 Avatar Teaching Videos to help one pass your written Tests & Skills Session for purchase.

DETAILS

For healthcare providers working in emergency treatment, intensive care or critical care, and other professionals who may need to respond to a pediatric emergency.

DURATION OF COURSE

Approximate Class Time: 6-7 hours or less based on the number of students.

Class times can run longer than shown based on students' ability to learn, understand, and apply course materials.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Physicians, PA's, Nurse practitioners, Nurses, EMS personnel, and Respiratory Therapists.

For entry into this class, it is highly recommended that students be proficient with CPR, AED's, ECG interpretation, and pharmacology.

COURSE EMPHASIZES ON

Importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival.

Integration of effective basic life support with PALS interventions.

Importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.

The course includes simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through learning stations where students practice essential skills individually, as part of a team, and as team leader.

Upon successful completion of this entire course, the students receive an AHA PALS Provider course completion CPR eCard valid for 2 years.

Management of Respiratory Emergencies.

Rhythm disturbances and Electrical Therapy.

Cardiac, Respiratory and Shock Case discussions and simulations.

Systematic Approach to Pediatric Assessment.

All classes are Monday through Friday unless filled or unavailable for that day.

All AHA classes start @ 8:45am sharp.

Please arrive 15 minutes early and be in your seat for the start of the class.

Start out early for traveling to ELS destination.

(No late arrivals allowed in class) - So not to disrupt course.
